Where AI meets ship and shore

Maritime runs on systems that are hard to change. AI isn't one of them.

Used well, it gives your people — ashore and on board — hours back in the day, and your business a way to stay fit for the future, not caught out by it. No new system. No year-long project. Most of maritime hasn't started yet. That's the opening.

Our flagship programme

AI Onboarding

Unlock your team's AI capabilities — and make your business future-ready.

A guided programme that brings your people aboard AI — built around how your teams already work, ashore and on board. Not a course to sit through, but a hands-on partnership that leaves your people confident and your business ready for what's next.

Your team's time: a defined set of short, scheduled working sessions — we handle the design and the heavy lifting. First results within about two weeks, with no one pulled off the job.

  • An approved AI framework, built for your business and running in daily work.
  • Hours handed back, every week, on the tasks that used to drain them.
  • A future-ready business — leading the shift, not scrambling to catch up.

A short, no-obligation conversation. No pitch — if it's not the right fit, we'll say so.

Use cases

You keep hearing “AI.” Here's what it looks like for you.

Everyone's talking about it — few can picture what it means for their own team. So here are real examples. No big IT project, no transformation budget — just small, focused steps that add up fast, and quick wins you can pick up today.

Just a few cases — to give you an idea of what AI can look like in the day-to-day of a maritime business.

What a client did A 25-person crew — most had only touched AI privately — put it to work on handover notes, inspection & Port-State prep, certificate tracking, checklists and toolbox talks. Within days they were coming back with use cases of their own.

One source of truth

Use AI to turn scattered data into one source of truth.

What a client did Data spread across a thousand spreadsheets, pulled into a single master file — cleaned, analysed and visualised in live dashboards, so the team can finally compare, track and decide on real numbers.

Use enterprise AI on your real data — protected inside your own environment.

What a client did Moved to an enterprise AI setup where the data stays protected in-house — so the team stopped wasting time blanking out and anonymising, and could put AI to work on the real data. Measurable gains of up to 50% across several areas.

Use AI to define, track and act on the numbers that matter.

What a client did Set clear KPIs and built live dashboards to track them — so performance became scalable, weak spots became visible, and the team could optimise on facts instead of gut feel.

The evidence

This isn't a hunch. It's where the research points.

56% vs 18%

When HR helps lead the AI rollout, about three times as many organisations call their workforce AI-ready — 56%, versus 18% where HR isn't part of it.

Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp), “The AI-Enabled HR Operating Model for Future-Ready Organizations,” 2026 — 1,338 business and HR leaders.
2 in 3

Two in three seafarers want to learn AI and automation — yet over 80% have had no training to build those digital skills. The appetite is there. The bridge to it isn't.

World Maritime University for the Lloyd's Register Foundation, Global Maritime Trends programme, 2026.

Read those two together and the gap is obvious: AI lands when the people side helps lead it — and seafarers are already asking for it. That's exactly the line AI goes Maritime works on. HR-side, twenty-plus years in the industry, with a founder who has spent real time on board — not just ashore. So the training and policies we build fit how a ship and a crew actually work, not just a shore office.

Olga Boenigk, Founder of AI goes Maritime
Who you'll work with

Olga Boenigk & team

Twenty-plus years in maritime and shipping — ashore and on board. Close enough to the systems to have evaluated, implemented and switched them, and changed them again when they didn't deliver. I've sat in the “when it's less busy” meetings — and I've been on the ships those meetings are about. I know how this industry really works, and how tired its people are of tools that promise and don't.

I use AI every day, and I watch people put down their fear and pick up something better. I'd like far more of the maritime world to have that — ashore and at sea.

I don't do this alone. A small team works with me — people from maritime and from AI who understand this world from the inside, and who care about getting it right in practice, not just on paper.

Let's talk

Two ways in. Both start a real conversation.

A short, 30-minute call — no pitch, no obligation. Whenever you're ready.
